Tracker 2.01 Changes

DATA

  • Data from V1, V1.5 pre-released, and V2.00 is migrated to the new default location for the Tracker Client data file.
  • If multiple data files are found, there will be a choice of what data to migrate.

Tracker Client 2.00 Changes

INTERFACE

  • Redesigned Request / Responses to use a tree format
  • View data by items with Responses prepared, Responses sent, No Responses sent, and All Items
  • Group data by Tracked Items, Due Date, Type, Request, Request and Tracked Item, Sender, and Response Sent.
  • Sort data.
  • Previous responses entered are saved to pick from for future use.
  • For fields that include text larger than what is displayed, hovering the mouse over the text will display the full entry in a pop-up.

EMAIL

  • Send responses back via a secure connection

PROGRAM

  • Fixed known bugs in V1.14.

Tracker Client 1.14 Changes

REQUEST/RESPONSE

  • When receiving a Request from Tracker, if the Request had no fields checked in the Fields to Update dialog, the Request still tried to create the Requested Updates tab in Tracker Client. This caused the data to become corrupted in Tracker Client.
  • If Tracker Client received a Request indicating to create tabs that have no data, this tab creation is ignored.
  • When Tracker Client cannot read the DAT file, the Cancel button was not canceling the dialog correctly.

SPELLING

  • Tracker Client now includes a Spanish dictionary. After selecting the Spanish dictionary, you must restart Tracker Client for the change to take affect.

Tracker Client 1.13 Changes

DIALOG

  • In the Request/Response tab, Response field, there was a limit of 512 characters. This limit has been increased to 32K. Current Requests will still have the 512 character limit. Future Requests sent from Tracker 1.13 will not have the 512 character limit.

Tracker Client 1.12 Changes

DIALOG

  • The bitmaps noting if a Request was sent or had enough information to be sent were being displayed using ”YES” and ”NO” values in addition to the bitmaps. The display should only reflect the mail and checkmark bitmaps.
  • The Show answered requests option no longer defaults to being unchecked when you run Tracker Client. The last state (checked/unchecked) is now saved when exiting Tracker Client.

PROGRAM

  • When saving, checks were added to verify the saving process was completed successfully.

Tracker Client 1.11 Changes

PROGRAM

  • When saving a file, items outside of Tracker’s control may happen. For example, the network may be disconnected. To help in these situations, Tracker now includes the following items:
    • When possible, a Retry button has been added to warning messages noting save errors.
    • The warning messages noting save errors now provide information concerning what happened (if possible - information Tracker received from Windows) and providing guidance on possible options.
    • Tracker now saves to a temporary file first, and when that succeeds, Tracker copies the temporary file over the original file. This will eliminate the main file being saved in a format that is not valid.

Tracker Client 1.10 Changes

EMAIL

  • If using MAPI to send Responses, Tracker Client will automatically close the Microsoft Outlook security dialog. In previous versions, you had to wait five seconds before you could confirm sending a Response.

GENERAL EMAIL

  • The From name: and From address: fields have been removed from the General Email page. The Email field (from address) is now part of the Request/Response page. For the From value, users now only enter their name in the From: field in the Request/Response page. This allows you to enter the email address and who is replying in one location.
  • With old Requests and Responses, the Email field may not appear on the Request/Response page. If not, Tracker Client will prompt for the email address when sending the Response.

PREFERENCES

  • The DAT file was not always being created correctly.
  • When sending Responses via MAPI, the option to show a confirmation dialog has been removed. The confirmation dialog was being hidden under some circumstances based on your configuration. The option to show a confirmation dialog when sending Responses via SMTP is still available

PROGRAM

  • Key error codes were not being displayed in the warning dialogs.
  • Dialog appears, flashes, and disappears. If using MAPI to send, you no longer need to click on the security dialog as noted in the email section above. Tracker is automatically closing the security dialog. This is the flashing that you see.
  • There was a typo in dialog label when no Requests are shown.

REQUEST / RESPONSE

  • When deleting a Response, Tracker Client could possibly not work properly after the deletion.
  • When there is a blank page (no data displayed), the label on the dialog has been updated to note either all Requests have been answered or there are no Requests.

REQUESTED UPDATES

  • For Multiple Choice fields, once you entered data, you were not able to delete data that you entered.
  • When entering a value for a Checkbox field, the warning dialog notes the valid values for the field.
  • When entering a value for a Checkbox field, the warning dialog was not noting the valid values.
  • Updates to Checkbox fields were not being sent back to Tracker or were being sent back incorrectly.
  • When entering data, changes were also being reflected in the All Items Fields tab.
  • If there was data entered in the Multiple Choice field, when the user pressed Send and then Cancel, the Multiple Choice field no longer knew the valid data values. The user would have to close the program and reenter the data.
  • Users were able to enter invalid data for Multiple Choice fields.
  • When clicking on a field but not entering a value, a value was sent back to Tracker.

RESPONDER MODE

  • In previous versions of Tracker, users who entered Responses had to enter them via Tracker Client. In Tracker 1.10, users can enter their Responses directly into the Tracker file via Responder mode. This is a new security setting in which a user is given a login account in which they can only see Tracked Items or Requests assigned to them. Users can only add Responses for Requests similar to what they would have done using Tracker Client. No other functions are available with this mode.

REVIEWING RESPONSES

  • When you send a Response back to Tracker, once the Response is reviewed, there is now the option to &endash; Send confirmation email. The email is not part of the Tracker / Tracker Client sending Requests and Responses function. The email sent from Tracker is in a format the user would read without the use of Tracker Client. If selected, the email would be sent back to the individual that provided a Response either through Tracker Client or Responder mode. You can also add additional recipients to the confirmation email.
  • The body of the email would reflect the following information:
    • Text indicating the Response has been received and reviewed
    • Tracked Item text
    • Request text, type, date and time sent
    • Response text, from, date and time sent
    • Field suggestions the user of Tracker accepted or rejected that was provided by Tracker Client or Responder
  • In previous versions, when a Response was reviewed, the data accepted or rejected was only known to the Tracker user. Unless the user of Tracker informed the Tracker Client user, the Tracker Client user was unaware of what data was accepted or rejected.
    RUNNING UNDER VIRTUAL DESKTOPS
  • Tracker Client was not being displayed correctly when running on virtual desktops.

Tracker Client 1.04 Changes

KEY

  • It was possible under certain circumstances, the key would not be found during a key check even though the key was installed and working properly.

Tracker Client 1.03 Changes

  • There was no version of Tracker Client 1.03 made available for release.

Tracker Client 1.02 Changes

  • Displays the full version number in the About Tracker Client dialog box.

  • Includes unique ID Help topics for each function of the program.

  • The first page in Options has been renamed to Preferences.
  • There is now an option to turn off the confirmation dialog when a Response is sent.
  • The Saved responses file option has been moved to the Preferences page.

Tracker Client 1.01 Changes

  • When verifying the floppy key diskette, Tracker Client is no longer locked and unusable during the floppy key check.
  • The Retry button on the Concurrent Network User dialog now works correctly.
